Bad Ass Car Crash…We were on a long drive. The radio was playing songs that were slowly eating away at any IQ points left after high school. Between songs, the radio dj told a story about a Darwin Awards Winner he had heard about. True or not, the story was that a wreck had been found on the side of a mountain. Initially the authorities believed that it was the location of a small plane crash, but as they pulled the wreckage apart they kept finding car parts. Eventually someone pulled out an old steering wheel. As they investigated what happened, they found that some jackass had attached a rocket engine to the back of a Chevy Impala and impaled it on the side of a mountain. It was a long drive and plenty of time to think about it. Billy Joe…dreamer…dumbass…American hero.
